The Manor House (Home of the Collective)

In a clearing near the eastern border of the Great Forest stands an old, vine-covered stone manor house. It is a fairly large building, three stories tall in some parts, rather ornate, and built entirely of stone. To one side there is a large, walled garden, untended and overgrown, and behind it is an elaborate hedge maze. This is the home of the Collective, at least in the physical realm of the Lands. All of the dozen or so people who form the core of the Collective live in this great rambling structure, each with their own room or set of rooms within its winding halls. There is also a large library, a dining hall, cellars, and an attic (which it has been hinted may hold some mystery), among other things. The house seems to be a magical kind of place; there are no servants, no one living here but us, yet things are always kept clean, though we do not ever have to clean them. Food is available whenever we like, a wonderful meal waiting invitingly on the table in the dining room without anyone having put it there, though we don't often eat, having no real need. We live here in peace and comfort, for the most part. It is a safe haven for us, in this world of danger and uncertainty.
