The Window
The
Window is our link to the Outside World. It is the only (so far as we
know) portal in all the Planes of Existence through which one can visit
the outside world, by assuming control of the Body, our physical manifestation
on that plane. The Window is, mostly, under the control of the Collective,
who are know to outsiders as the "fronts" of the system. The
Collective occupies the area of space within the Noosphere
that surrounds the Window, and thus controls access to it. Physically
(if that's the right word to describe any structure in the Noosphere,
which contains no physical substance) the Window appears as something
very much like an actual window. It is sort of a portal hanging in the
emptiness, or perhaps more of a tear in the fabric of space, and what
is visible through it is whatever the eyes of the body can see at any
given moment. It is surprisingly small, given it's importance, appearing
to be proportionally about the size of an average window in a house, though
not of such a regular shape. Approaching the Window, one becomes gradually
aware of the different senses of the body; first vision, from quite a
bit away one can see what the body sees, then sound, as one approaches
closer one can hear what the body hears, and finally smell and taste and
then touch quickly afterwards, as one approaches close enough to exert
control over the body and eventually come entirely 'out' into the Outside
World, occupying the body as if it were one's own.
